IAFOR offers full or partial scholarships covering travel and accommodation grants and conference registration fees to select graduate students and early career academics who do not have the financial resources to attend our scientific conferences does.
Scholarships And Grants For Adults
Awards are based on an applicant’s field of study, financial need, and contribution to their community and educational opportunity relative to IAFOR’s interdisciplinary mission. Scholarships are awarded based on the availability of funding from IAFOR and vary per conference.
A Beginner’s Guide To Grants And Scholarships For Adult Students
The Organizing Committee of the 9th European Conference on Media, Communication and Film will award scholarships to qualified applicants who have passed the peer review process and submitted the best abstracts accepted for presentation at the conference.
If you are eligible for an IAFOR grant or fellowship and would like to be considered, please submit your abstract via the Calls page and check the box for the appropriate award during the submission process. Abstracts must be submitted by March 04, 2022 to be considered for funding. Applicants will be notified of results within three to four weeks of the initial submission deadline.
Full and partial conference scholarships are available to cover application fees for postgraduates and early career academics to attend IAFOR conferences. Priority will be given to participants whose work crosses national, cultural and disciplinary boundaries.
Abstracts submitted after the initial submission deadline of March 4, 2022 will not be considered for scholarships. If you are awarded a grant or scholarship, you will attend the relevant IAFOR conference. If you are unable to attend the conference, your grant or scholarship will be forfeited.

The Picken Scholarship and Scholarship, an award endorsed by Stewart D.B. Picken Memorial Fund. The late Professor Stuart DB Picken began his academic career as a Rotary Scholar on a research trip to Japan. A Scotsman, he devoted himself to the study of religion, and he soon became interested in Japanese culture and Shinto customs. He was particularly interested in the similarities and differences he saw in Western pedagogy compared to the East, and began a lifelong mission to bridge the gap in communication and knowledge between the two worlds.

Picken was appointed professor of philosophy at the International Christian University (ICU) in 1972. Here he transferred his Western theological and philosophical training to the comparative religious and cultural studies of Japan, at a time when the country was emerging from the shadows of the Second World War. . This scholarship covers the application fee for graduate students at Osaka University’s Osaka School of International Public Policy (OSIPP) to attend an IAFOR conference in Japan. Available to all graduate students at OSIPP.
This scholarship covers the application fee for two graduate students from the University of Barcelona to attend and present at the Barcelona Conference on Education (BCE) and the Barcelona Conference on Arts, Media and Culture (BAMC) in Barcelona, Spain.

In addition, IAFOR offers a 10% discount for participants who have attended IAFOR conferences in the past, as well as a 50% discount for participants who wish to present a second paper at the same conference. We currently offer Early Bird and Advance Register pricing for presenters and Early Bird pricing for spectators.
IAFOR believes in supporting young academics and providing opportunities for them to present their work at international conferences. To encourage graduate student participation, the IAFOR Graduate Fellowship Program reimburses graduate or doctoral students for conference registration fees in exchange for assistance with conference operations.
The application deadline is the conference’s final submission deadline, but early applications are encouraged. Scholarships are limited for each conference and priority is given to early applicants.

The purpose of the Lillian Lyons Scholarship is to assist working adult students with their financial obligations toward adult undergraduate education. A one-time scholarship (last year’s scholarship was $501 per person) is awarded annually to deserving students. Eligibility is determined by the student’s financial need.
