Once the document is approved, Cadet Command processors will change the document type to “SAT SCORES” and enter a SAT score of 998 (499 EBR & W and 499 Math) into their application. ALL flexible test applicants will have a SAT test score of 998.
Since the student also submitted a graded transcript to the high school, his/her status will be interviewee (see the Selection Status page of your application). This will allow them to continue the application process to prepare their packet for the March Admissions Committee. They must still complete the rest of the application, physical fitness assessment and PMS interview to be admitted and considered for scholarship selection.
During the board window of March 15-19, 2021, we will admit all “test-flexible” applicants together. Selected applicants will be notified using the usual March notice.

For those of you who don’t know, ROTC reimburses the cost of a college education for both training and mandatory service in one of the armed services of the United States.
The origins of the modern system come from the National Defense Act of 1916. This law provides for civilian military training by a federal government organization, the “Reserve Officers’ Training Corp.” placed it under.
This act created the creation of various land-owning colleges, which in turn became many of today’s state universities. Part of the federal government requirements for these colleges is that they teach students military tactics. This need became the basis for the first ROTC-like programs in the country.
Along the way, there were other developments, and many schools offered programs to train ordinary citizens to become suitable reserve officers ready to be called up during wartime. Innovative ROTC programs continue to train high school and college students for future military service.

Many high schools offer JROTC programs that prepare kids to compete at the college level. These college-based programs are divided into different branches and have unique needs.
It is important to note that the U.S. The Coast Guard does not have its own program, and the Marines are usually lumped into the Navy because of their consolidated history.
Since there are different programs, divided into different branches, it is important to know what the different requirements are, especially when it comes to ROTC test preparation.
Army – Of the three major programs, Army ROTC requirements are considered the “simplest”. Why? Because a student applying for a scholarship only needs to score a minimum of 1000 on the SAT and a 19 on the ACT. However, don’t forget that there are many hurdles to overcome in addition to the score requirements.
How To Become A Lion Cadet
In addition, students must serve at least 4 years in the military, up to 8 years, to qualify for the full four-year scholarship. Keep these facts in mind when evaluating your application.
Navy and Marine Corps – Since this program essentially covers two branches at once, there are different requirements to meet depending on which branch you are applying for. In terms of test scores, both must meet a slightly higher bar than the Army program.
While Marine Corps Scholars still require a minimum combined score of 1000 on the SAT, the ACT requirement is slightly higher at 22 points. Both SAT and ACT scores are still slightly higher for Navy and Nursing scholarship requirements.
In addition, certain approved majors must be selected, semester hours must be accumulated, and other requirements apply
