Early Childhood Education (accelerated)

In this 16-month continuing education program, you will learn to support children as they grow up. It will study the stages of the physical, cognitive, social and emotional development of infants (from six weeks), young children, pre-school children and school-age children (up to 12 years old) and learn to recognize the key behaviors associated with each stage of development.

We structured this program to alternate between classroom teaching and field practice. This teaching method helps you develop confidence in your skills as you learn to apply key concepts from the classroom to a real context. Employers appreciate this approach because it prepares our graduates to work as early childhood educators on the first day.

PLEASE NOTE: Some of our clinical or apprenticeship partners may require students to demonstrate a full vaccination test. Therefore, students who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 may not be able to complete the required fieldwork component of their program within the regularly scheduled time period.
