Cybersecurity: Ucf To Launch Two New Certification Programs
To develop certification programs, Continuing Education has partnered with HackerU, a global cybersecurity education provider with over 20 years of experience. Each program begins with a 30-hour test course that teaches students how to work in defensive and offensive cybersecurity before the full program. Both certifications prepare graduates for internationally recognized certification exams and are designed for part-time staff at evenings and weekends at the Van Am Danish Partnership Center at Seminole State College’s Sanford / Lake Marie Campus. Students learn complete theory and can participate in practical training in cybersecurity and programming. The 400-hour course prepares students for seven advanced cybersecurity certification exams: Microsoft MCSA, Linux LPI Essentials, Cisco CCENT, Cisco CCNA Security, CompTIA Cloud +, CompTIA Security +, and CompTIA CySA +. Students do not need to qualify for the program. Suitable for self-taught people with technical background.
Experienced in IT and cybersecurity will learn key skills that employers are looking for in aggressive security experts. The 210-hour course focuses on innovative infrastructure attacks, cross-platform privileges enhancement, security Python programming, and web application penetration testing to prepare students for the Aggressive Security Certified Professional and EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker Certification exams. ۔ To enroll in the program, applicants must have a degree in computer science or similar work experience in IT, coding or programming.
The faculty is a leader in the cybersecurity industry and provides students with first-time access to their knowledge and skills in theoretical and defensive methods. Cyber Security Education: Principles And Policies
This book examines the goals and policy aspects of cybersecurity education in the light of growing technical, social and geopolitical challenges.
In the last ten years, there has been a tectonic shift in the importance of cybersecurity education. Once dominated by small groups of dedicated teachers and industry professionals, the issue has now shifted to geopolitical confrontation and business strategy. Lack of global skills has put pressure on corporate and national workforce development policies.
As we enter the next decade of technological disruption and political threat, it offers a fresh perspective on the subject. Collaborators include scholars and academics from leading research and teaching centers in Europe, North America and Australia. This book provides essential reference points for education policy in the new social sphere of security in cyberspace and aims to re-engage the global debate on what cybersecurity education means and should be.
The book will be of interest to students of cyber security, cyber education, international security and public policy, as well as practitioners and policy makers.
