The Open Knowledge Foundation is pleased to announce the Open Data Day 2022 Small Grants Program to support organizations hosting open data events around the world.

Grants will support selected organizations, ranging from $500 to $1,000, depending on the type of activity. The application deadline is May 13, 2022 (extension deadline is May 20, 2022), and funding-supported events must take place between June 1, 2022 and August 31, 2022. The grants promote work in the field, targeted campaigns and advocacy efforts in support of Paris. The agreement, local efforts to combat climate change, and the use of open data for social impact.

We have a special grant for the Oceans Information for Developing Planets category to help organisations celebrate World Oceans Day and data-related events anytime from 5-11 June 2022. .More information on special categories is provided below.

This is a small fund ranging in size from $500 to $1000 to help organizations organize open data events and personal events. It supports the registration activities of civil society organizations and cannot be used to fund government activities.

Grant monies will be transferred to successful grantees after the event and when the Open Knowledge Foundation team receives project letters about the event.
